About the role
As Nordic Commercial Credit Manager at Ikano Bank, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and strengthening the bank’s commercial credit framework across the Nordic region. Following a recent organizational transformation, this position has been established to drive further development, simplification and optimization of our credit assessment processes.
Working cross-functionally with Sales, Credit Analysis, and Operations, you will serve as a key advisor and credit expert – guiding, challenging and supporting teams to improve decision quality and operational efficiency. Your role will not involve direct line management but will carry significant functional responsibility and influence across the organization.
You will operate in a Nordic context, supporting our operations in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway, and act as a central point of expertise in commercial credit governance, portfolio monitoring, and process development.
The position is located Nordic, preferable in Sundbyberg Sweden, and you will report to the Head of B2B Services.

Key responsibilites
- Lead credit governance and drive adherence to internal policies across the credit lifecycle.
- Act as credit authority for large B2B exposures, reviewing and approving complex credit applications within delegated limits.
- Manage the Commercial Credit Committee process – preparing and presenting credit memos, and facilitating sound, risk-balanced decision-making.
- Provide proactive credit portfolio oversight, identifying early warning signs and recommending mitigation actions based on trends and data insights.
- Guide and coach Sales and Underwriting teams on credit structuring, risk evaluation, and policy compliance.
- Ensure audit readiness and maintain clear, accurate documentation to support regulatory compliance.
- Lead the development of credit policies, tools and SOPs that improve consistency and enable better business decisions.
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying and driving efficiency gains in the credit assessment process.
Qualifications
You are a highly skilled credit professional with strong commercial acumen and a collaborative mindset. You’re analytical yet pragmatic, capable of balancing business opportunity with risk control. You enjoy working across borders and functions and have the ability to build trust and credibility with stakeholders at all levels.

- Extensive experience in corporate credit assessment, preferably within equipment leasing and/or SME financing.
- Strong background in writing, preparing and presenting credit memorandums to credit committees.
- Proven ability to develop and refine credit processes, tools and decision frameworks.
- Solid understanding of Nordic B2B markets and financial regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in English and one of the Nordic languages.
- That you are confident, structured and self-driven, with a collaborative approach and strong stakeholder management skills.
